McDonald's menu 1972

Middle of nowhere ? I'm in a metropolitan area with almost a million people. It's slowly merging into another metro area with 2 million people.
It's all relative. My metro area is almost 5 million people. Seattle is about 4 million, San Francisco is almost 8 million and if you want to talk large cities, then New York is about 19 and Los Angeles is about 12.5. So yeah, compared to other big cities, 1 million is almost like nowhere.

Some Hardee's fast-food restaurants here where the chain have pictures from the early 1960s showing some of the earliest Hardee's locations and prices. They were even cheaper than the McDonald's prices because those pics are 10 years older. Everyone had the small hamburgers and cheeseburgers then; the bigger stuff came later.

Hardee's is part of Carl's Jr. now.

Umm, the average of the above numbers is $5.49. You mentioned that the chart said $6.00, but actually it said $5.81. ( understandable round up). So , now it’s $5.49 vs $5.81. I’d say with more data points it’s completly possible that the research company, Statistica, is 100% correct. :)

Enjoy that cheap Big Mac. I know I will. :D

I’ve seen them for $7 plus around here. (Seattle)

Your mention of people eating the smaller burgers back then rings true with me. I could buy two regular hamburgers with fries and drink for less in my high school days. Of course that was in the 70’s Malaise when everyone was pinching Pennie’s.

$4.19 here with a free offer today and also a bogo as well.

I remember back in high school after a football game hitting McD's. My mom would give me $5 for diner, and they offered $1 Big Macs. I would get 5, and pitch in the extra for tax. Yum!
