Mazda AT Flush ?

So ...

I just had Transmission replaced in my Mazda 3 ...
it was 1500Km agoo i think good idea to drop oil ...

Should I do full flush ?

or just drain the pan ?
Can I Refill it with M1 AT ? or i should stick to Mazda to not mix conventional and synthetic.

what caused it to fail? Mazda 3 cars are all relatively recent - did you put that much mileage on it?

I'd vote to drop the pan and replace the filter, so everything is definite. As for fluid, I'd venture to guess that M1 is fine, but you need to verify the correct specs. Remember that when you replace the fluid in a service, unless the radiator and torque converted are drained, there still is a lot of old fluid inthere. You probably wantto do some simple drain and refills to ensure it's all the same fluid in there.

96000Km replaced under warranty ... it didn't die it hard bad shifting when cold .. and not smooth when hot 2

same thing with new so i guess they just like this or maybe this one is even worse ... lol im so sick of going to dealers

hmmm im not even sure if there is a filter i was told by one dealer that they don't change filters ! ?

local mazda dealer told me the same, they don't change filters. I bought mine (protege5) at NAPA.

I'd put in whatever you want. you didn't have a failure so you don't have contamination floating around in the system. It is basically the same as a new car's transmission. I'd just drain and fill, do the filter every 48k km.

The 3 has a filter. Not sure why dealers don't change them out. If you want to do it, Wix has a part # for it. Same trans as a ford focus, i think. Changing it is the same as any other car and easy to do. First time though you have to fight with the silicone sealer to drop the pan.

Mobil 1 ATF has been doing great in my Mazda 6 AT. Mine calls for Mercon V. My car has close to 90k miles now and I do a drain and fill every 15k miles.
