Maxlife - still the best oil for R/M seal leaks?

Well sure, just replace that cheap part and your problems are solved.
After all, how hard could it be to drop the tranny out of that 'burban?
Personally, if I had a leaky RMS, I'd Band-Aid it until I had to remove the transmission for some good reason, like a clutch for a stick or a rebuild of an automatic.

That's what I did to mine, finally. And, it sure cured it!

Thanks all - he's going to try Maxlife red bottle for the next few changes and see what happens. It's a sub-$1000 hauler for their band gear for local gigs, so he's not too worried about pulling the trans to fix it for real yet. Probably wait until the trans goes and do it all at the same time. I'll update this thread if he sees any miraculous results (not holding my breath).
