Here is one of the two mounting bolts for a master cylinder onto on a 3/4 ton hydroboost. The brake master cylinder mounts on the two bolts. Functionally they act as studs on the hydroboost and apparently do not have a separate GM part number. While changing out the master cylinder on my 2008 3/4 ton Burb, the cap screw wouldn’t come off easy and the threads got buggered up. I was able to remove the bolt by wrenching it in a left hand direction. Notice the coarse threads near the bolt head. They are left hand. I repaired the threads with a die and carried on. Again, hum-drum info for a pro mechanic but for shade tree mechanics they might not ever see something like this. I hope it’s useful info for someone in the future. Snag.
