Was watching some news on lunch and heard he passed away. I remember him as a coach growing up. Influenced many future coaches.

Yes just read that this morning. Apparently he had Alzheimer's as well.

The dumbest thing Art Modell ever did, and he did a LOT of dumb things, was firing Marty after the 88 season. It led to the destruction of the franchise.

When I worked in Cleveland, I went to a bar in the flats, there was something pinned up on the wall "Muck Fodell". That sums it up for Art and the city of Cleveland.

He was from near me or McDonald PA and went to Fort Cherry high School and went back to University of Pittsburgh

Now the league is facing reality after finding out this years Super Bowl had the lowest ratings since 1969, the year Joe Namath won it.
