Let's all spare a thought for Mark Webber today after he survived what looks like a 'real big one' whilst driving a Porsche in the WEC round at Sau Paulo in Brazil. His condition is described as 'satisfactory' but other than that I can't find any more news at the moment.

Apparently he has just bruising and a concussion, so that's good.

And apparently their sister car #14 won the race, the Porsche 919's first of the season. 'Bout time!

Considering the state of the car he was very lucky. It says a lot for the construction.

From the video I still can't figure out what exactly happened.

Good news about the other car though.

I saw that shunt replay and it was hard to tell what happened. It was a hard hit. Amazing how the LMP safety has improved so much since the Class C days.

I remember the 2 huge shunts the Audi's had at Le Mans, first McNish in the opening hour and then Rockenfeller at night. I was watching the coverage of those live, makes me wish they would have real camera operators at night on the circuit.
