I recently purchased a bunch of MANN ML 1008 oil filter for my 2012 Acura TL 3.7L . My oil change interval following the maintenance minder is about 7K miles. Is this filter designed to last that long? Seems at least as well made as an OEM Honda filter.

Oops. I should have put this in the oil filter section. Could the moderators move it. I don't want to cross post.

There is no brand name filter doesn't lasted 7-8k OCI or 1 year with non-severe driving condition, even the lowly Fram Extra Guard can do it.

MANN ML class spin on filter isn't top of the line filter, but it is up to the task for 10-12k miles OCI.

Thanks guys. Just was a bit concerned after reading the thread that Purolater Classics were not designed to exceed 3K miles (info from a rep at Purolater). Many here state that the Mann ML filters are just rebadged Purolater classics hence my angst.

Don't worry. Almost no one specifies 3000 mile OCIs any longer, and if Purolator honestly thinks their Classics are only good up to 3000 miles, they're in the wrong business, or should change the line to cover only the FL-1A and Chevy small block applications.

... no, just saying Purolator needs to wake up and smell the coffee with their customer Tech Line. When customers can look up and read the warranty right on the Purolator website and know more about what it says than the people working at Purolator, then that's a very sad and disappointing situation IMO. If upper management at Purolator lets moronic stuff like that to happen, then they shouldn't be in charge.
