At least that's what Ebay suggests to do for a pic that i'm trying to download for an ad. It does not state how wide the one I'm trying to use is right now. How can I make it more than 500 pixels on the longest side? Thanks
Sorry for the vagueness. I'm trying to upload a pic that I took with my digital camera. After I submit, i get that message."Please up pics that are at least 500 pixels on the long side". How can i get this to pass?
It sounds like your pic is too small. Try to re-size it in picture manager. Change the long side number to 1500. When you save as, add (2) to the file name so u don't lose the original image. Then check resolution of the new pic. If it's fuzzy, try 750 or 1000.
By default, your camera or phone should be taking pictures that big. If smaller, you've accidentally accessed thumbnails instead or done something weird in your camera setting.
A megapixel is 1000x1000, FWIW, and every camera made since y2k or so can do this.
How are you downloading the pictures from your camera? Whatever you're doing, you're not grabbing the original photos as they would surely be larger than 500 pixels, as eljefino noted.
