Is this a fake article [I dont know] I don't know of anyone who would think something like that was safe at any speed, to quote Ralph Nader. I can't believe anyone would put those in a car.

I heard there was a Congressman once about 30 years ago who wanted to pass a law mandating that motorcycles have seat belts. [LOL!]

Not necessairly. It could be a spoof on automotive newsletters in general. [Big Grin]
 
Of course it's a fake. That's why it's in the "humor" section. The info source link is the spoof issue of the Onion. Has some other funny joke stories.
