Battery backup as a reason to go all renewable is about as smart as all electric - and I’ll take my high income where we are much smarter …
What were these batteries intended for - fixed or mobile?my uncle has been making recoveries on large lithium batteries that the trucks delivering them have crashed. it’s a dangerous and expensive game transporting and installing these batteries
they were being transported for fixed installation here in houston. What were these batteries intended for - fixed or mobile?
I get mobile > but fixed batteries are ideologically driven > engineering be ****ed …
Of all the places - I rest my case …they were being transported for fixed installation here in houston.
No one hurt. My understanding is it started slow and spread to the battery house. No comment other than hope no one gets hurt
1 nuclear accident in the United StatesSeems like they need some design revisions, for battery temp monitoring and fire containment systems. I'm sure the first nuclear plants weren't the greatest either? Pumped hydro seems like a KISS choice, but that can be messed up too!

The state is a train wreck in electricity delivery. It has to be the worst in the nation. The first 2 weeks of January have not been great for the push to electrify everything in CA.
IMBHO that state is a trainwreck in most of what they do. Those that put California on such a high horse with leading the way to being green/sustainable, technology driven, contributes so much financially...The state is a train wreck in electricity delivery. It has to be the worst in the nation.
Just look at the cost it’s customers pay and all they get is a disaster of a system
I'd say it's more of a human behavior.NIMBY is the California way.
But the weather is great and the countryside beautiful. California is like that old girlfriend - her good looks hide a lot of flaws.IMBHO that state is a trainwreck in most of what they do. Yeah, I'm trying to find a good way to leave her. It's not easyBut the weather is great and the countryside beautiful. California is like that old girlfriend - her good looks hide a lot of flaws.

25 years ago we sold out and left California. We lasted just 26 months before moving back. Californians don't transplant very well.Yeah, I'm trying to find a good way to leave her. It's not easy
More like the ex wife whose looks faded before she took everything you had when she left you.But the weather is great and the countryside beautiful. California is like that old girlfriend - her good looks hide a lot of flaws.

Every time I drive through Nevada I'm always amazed at it's vast, desolate beauty. I think Nevada gets a bad rap from many.Unfortunately, Nevada is going the same way.
Where did you go when you left? I had the benefit of the USAF when I left the State for the first time, so I knew of multiple places that were viable to live in retirement without the high taxes.25 years ago we sold out and left California. You know? funny you say that. My daughter went to school with a young family (this was about 10 or less years ago) who moved to SC from CA. The high school my daughter went to was one of the best in the state. Anyway, they had a nice lake front home. Used to drop my daughter off there, the girls would take the jet skis out.25 years ago we sold out and left California. We lasted just 26 months before moving back. I find "desolate" peaceful and stress free. My "desolate" even at a young age, growing up on crowded Long Island, my escape was taking my boat into the ocean without any land in sight and fishing. I can relate to that photo the same way. Stress free and peaceful.Every time I drive through Nevada I'm always amazed at it's vast, desolate beauty. I think Nevada gets a bad rap from many.
Sue and I need to take our long discussed drive across NV via Hwy 50. Should be awesome!
