These filters are built very well. Was running Valvoline 4T 20w50, bike was shifting like butter when I dumped it. Almost all miles were NFLD, Cape Breton, and PEI. I feel the oil and filter could manage the OEM 10,000KM OCI with buffer for those big trips. Magnetic drain plug was clear and oil still had a reasonable fresh colour when drained. That's as technical as it gets folks! 😁

They are stout. Have a couple ready for oil at 12K and 18K. During the pandemic I was getting them for $6.4x. Now they are back up in the mid teens. Probably will never need more. Its taken 2 years to get to 8K.
 
After rereading this thread, I think the most interesting part is the lack of ADBV! Just noticed that now… did I forget to take a picture of it..?

I suspect it just didn’t exist…
 
For some reason many BMW motorcycles do not use a drainback valve. Maybe someone knows why. Does not seem to affect engine life.
