Magnesium Question.

Hi all, just a question about Magnesium used in oils.

I'm sure it's been asked before, but a search showed nothing.

What's the go, some oils have a little, some have none at all.

So I have been lead to believe it's a detergent, but I think I have heard that it can cause seal troubles, does that sound right???

Is it a good quality to look for or one to steer clear of?

It seems a lot of oils are now coming with less magnesium in them. Mobil 1 used to have a lot, now it has very little. I believe they are simply finding better ways to keep things clean, such as using more calcium. I also believe boron helps in this regard too.
