Mag 1 is made by Warren, a company known for quality "non major brand" products. I've used many of their oils and lubricants over the years and have always been exceptionally pleased. Use with confidence.
I ran it in my 6hp Johnson last year when I needed oil and the marine shop I stopped at only had the Mag 1. It performed fine and actually smoked a little less than I'm used to seeing. I'd use it again, no hesitation.
