"Made for WIX"

this is weird. i've had wix filters that explicitly say made in poland or china....

purchased from different resellers. LOTS of small differences.

Is this an oddball filter that WIX decided not to manufacture themselves, but instead source from other manufacturers? Most of the companies outsource some of their filters.

Your two filters above came from two different manufacturers or are from two different runs. There are many subtle differences in the two filters. They would make a good game of "spot the differences", LOL.

It's VERY sad for us old timers to see once trusted, solid companies change like this. WIX used to have a huge diversity of filters used and trusted for agriculture, big trucking, industry, etc.. I don't trust them anymore.

Sounds like a tricky marketing ploy to sell who knows what it is. There is no little R for registered trademark on the copied name. I guess it is the cheapest generic made in China off brand resold to maximize profit.
