con't from https://tinyurl.com/4tkzfc39 2002 Ford Windstar 3.8L V6.
Found another TAN TBN cross over. Won't exceed this mileage. Will change before end of year.
Astrics indicate highlighted concern on report/ cause of severity. I'll be watching for tin on the next report. The XG3600 in this recent report had been on the shelf for at least 4 years. So the one now installed is ~6 years old.
Not giving much thought to the

Wow, did the ‘old’ versions of Amsoil oils ever thicken up in extended service! One real change you see with newer extended-drain oils, oxidative thickening is waaay down!

Those Essex v6's weren't particularly great engines. Not terrible, but not great by any means.

The Fe wear on yours was fairly high early on; seems to have settled over the long haul.

Curious if you ever had any head issues; they were known for warping and lifting gaskets. Also the larger 4.2L had intake manifold issues, etc.

Had a '98 windstar that at 154k miles had coolant contaminate the oil and eat a bearing or 2. Oil analysis was sitting in the fax with the abnormal finding when the car was towed home.
Knock on wood the '00 was retired @ 276k due to safety inspection nickel & dime. And this '02 will con't on. All 3.8L.
Both the '00 and '02 have catch cans. Great vans.
