Car a CLA45 edition 1 with stage 3 running on Pure turbo and Wmi

Been using 300v all these years but been having very short OCI : every 2months to be safe, clocking only 700km per month

I only used the car for street and drag with friends on weekend. No circuit or race.

Recently changed to HPR5 and not sure if its better.

Anyone can recommend a better choice for summer climate and for stage3 45

The climate is irrelevant without oil temperature data. Altitude? Altitude is more detrimental than ambient temperature.
Alcohol?
Did you do UOA?
How much hp is pushing?

Im in Singapore. Did not do any UOA and oil temps seems lower for hpr5 but 300v seems to perform more smoother maybe its just because i think hpr5 is more inferior as its cheaper. Im asking to see if other 45 mates use HPR5 with good reviews
Im now thinking of changing back to 300v.

The reason why i chose hpr5 was due to approval 229.5 whereas 300v has none but was told it exceed most oil recommended level

If you don’t track/race, skip oils like 300V. Is HPR approved or just recommend? I would do UOA to see how much oil is shearing. It is hard to gauge what would be appropriate with modified engine without some data.

According to Penrite bottle its 229.5 approved
My engine is stock btw only changed hybrid turbo with wmi, intercooler etc

I'd go for some reputable PCMO with Porsche C40, VW 511 00 along
with MB 229.5 approvals, run it for at least 5000 km and call it a day.
