M1 vs. PUP Observations

I can't help but see Japan's latest regular 0W-20 also shifting, shown as 60-70% GTL in September 2020.
It's us afe 0w20.not ep.

I don't know. Had just seen the regular 0W-20 shown as 30-40% PAO and 30-40% HC for the US in July 2020 but 60-70% GTL for Japan in September 2020. The shifting around shouldn't matter anyway. The HC content will help the PAO in lubricity and strength at times something contains less GTL ;-)

The difference is simply because Japan’s 0W20 corresponds to American AFE 0W20. If you look at the SDS of American AFE 0W20, you will find that the two are actually the same oil.

So, bottomline would be that you bought EP from american Walmart and even so received an EP containing PAO / HC more or less according to the current japanese MSDS? Therefore in spite of the July MSDS of US AFE/Vanilla you might receive the GTL version according to the September MSDS of Japan's AFE/Vanilla, ordering from US Walmart for China at least? All in all not that much different from global Shell sites' and sheets' inspirations then :) Enjoy the wax as you'd enjoy the PAO.

The oil sold in the United States is easy to distinguish. Its packaging is different from that of Mobil anywhere in the world.
As for the turbidity, I think you can test it with your own refrigerator. If it is 70% PAO, it will not be turbid until it solidifies.
