I don't know why everyone is so quiet, probably because this is such a good report. Considering all factors, namely that this was in the bike over the winter, all wear numbers are suprisingly low. It did get chewed up pretty bad though. Did they really test TAN and not TBN? I'd say stick with this oil if you don't mind the price, otherwise you could look around for something more reasonably priced.

Thanks for the comments nicrfe1370.

Yup, Wearcheck tested for TAN and not TBN.

I'm not sure of the city/hwy breakdown for the OCI. The girlfriend lives 6 miles away, so there's a bunch of short trips on it. Then there's also weekend secondary highway rides anywhere from 40 minutes to 5 hours duration.

I bought the oil last summer on sale, I've got enough for 3 more changes so for now I'm not concerned with the price [1.9L sump capacity helps].

Viscosity is a borderline 40. It lost what, 9.5% of the original viscosity [13.8 down to 12.5]? However, shifting felt awesome throughout the OCI.

FWIW I think my riding style is relatively tame. Average fuel economy for the OCI was 66.34 US MPG, or 3.55 L/100KM. The engine will see anywhere from 5-11,000RPM depending on traffic situations [redline is at 14,500RPM]. Normally no greater than 9,000RPM. Cruising RPM usually depends upon the speed limit and traffic situation, from 5-8,000 RPM [approximate highway cruising in 6th : 6250RPM = 50MPH/80KPH, 7000RPM 56MPH/90KPH, 7700RPM = 62MPH/100KPH].
