Oh, and the kid from work is wrong. There is a very capable file management system on all Android phones. They can be plugged right into a laptop to use the file transfer feature. Including Windows 10 as well as my Linux machine.

How come the verizon store techs could not revive my wife's phone when it jammed up with garbage files?
Did they just want to upsell?
THAT is a mess.

My Lumia may be limited for some - or many, but it is not a mess.
A mess is non functional or disorganised.

Possibly. It may have been older and they just didn't know how to factory reset it. There have been various ways that different manufacturers implement a full reset, they may not have known the correct way. Unless there was some kind of hardware virus, a reset will almost always do the trick. Unfortunately you also lose all of your personal data during a full reset, unless it is on Google (which it generally is).

that being said if you have a kid it’s ios or bust. giving an android to a minor is child abuse and should be punishable by up to 10 years in jail
