M1 EP HM 5w30 vs M1 0w40 FS?

Which one would suit cold starts better (thinner at say 10F to 35F weather)? The VQ burns a bit of oil I'm worried about keep using the M1 Euro 0w40 (catalytic converter life)!
I'm considering the M1 EP HM 5w30 since it's the heavier choice in the M1 5w30 product line.

Both are probably very similar at that temp range.

Yes. Any viscosity difference is going to be truly irrelevant and only fleeting as the oil warms up.

Both are eminently pumpable at the temperature listed, and is not what one would consider a truly "cold start" that would even come close to challenging the winter rating.
