Blackstone's comments: We found a little gas in this sample, which dropped your viscosity into the 15W-40 range, just lower than we usually find for a 15W-50. Wear couldn't read much better so this oil is obviously working for your engine. Universal averages show typical wear metals for an oil from this type of engine after 1,400 miles run on the oil. Your oil was in use longer, and we found all wear at or lower than, average levels. Air and oil filtration look okay. The oil could have stayed in use longer. This is a very nice wearing Harley at 34,970 miles.

My comments: This is my daily commuter with the average trip about 10 miles. The oil was put in last November so it has seen ambeint temps from around freezing to 100 deg plus.

As I just posted yesterday I Love

M 1 15/50 I think its the best.

Awesome. The insolubles will disappear with a long highway run, but with 5,000 miles on this oil with short distance stop and go you can't ask for a better result.
