I took a look at filter while I was at Walmart and noticed that the 110 variant is now made in Vietnam. Others in South Korea

Labor in Vietnam should be cheaper than in Korea. I've been to Vietnam and imho they are very proud of what how they do and are determined to do quality work, very hard working people.
That definitely looks like the same factory that PG uses. The Oring gasket is black instead of red though. Still, That is great news! Interestingly I'd hope these are built with better media than the PG 10k's.

They copied the Purolator strong baseplate design.
Great find!! It appears M1 has dropped M+H for PG!! Also connects the dots between PG(Vietnam) and Pentius(Korea) as we all expected. This is a huge contract for PG!

Pentius PLXL 7317 99%@20 microns 10,000 mile filter. Very well built. Almost if not identical to PG built XL filters.
After seeing what the Exchange rates are for usd to vietnamese Dong at 1 usd=0.0000369 vdng it costs them what a whole $1.50 to make?
Does it say 'leak tested' on the ass end like the other PG's?
I saw the quoted $11.34 online markdown purchase price, regular retail ~$17. lol Wonder what 'in store off shelf', purchase price? (I'll check next time in) For comparison, topic application equivalent everyday price O'R MG Select less expensive, (~$10), same for CQ Premium 'without' online code, less with easily found 15% off online code. So really, only reason to purchase topic M1 would be no AAP or O'R nearby and/or WM convenience.
Looks like in store price is the same.
