I bought 3 of the WIX kits from RockAuto. I must say the included form is ridiculously small to write on. DATE SAMPLED 20-Aug-18 DATE RECEIVED 30-Aug-18 DATE REPORTED 04-Sep-18 SIF NO.------------------??? TIME ON UNIT--------89,000 miles TIME ON OIL------------7,400 miles OIL BRAND--------------Mobil1 0W-40 European Formula OIL ADDED--------------12 oz. over the OCI but there was no place to enter that data on the form FILTER and OIL CHANGED at every oil change Metals (ppm) Iron (Fe) 9 Chromium (Cr) <1 Lead (Pb) <1 Copper (Cu) 1 Tin (Sn) <1 Aluminium (Al) 1 Nickel (Ni) <1 Silver (Ag) <1 Titanium (Ti) <1 Vanadium (V) <1 Contaminants (ppm) Silicon (Si) 4 Sodium (Na) 14 Potassium (K) 6 Additives (ppm) Magnesium (Mg) 36 Calcium (Ca) 2966 Barium (Ba) <1 Phosphorus (P) 895 Zinc (Zn) 1043 Molybdenum (Mo) 75 Boron (B) 142 Contaminants Water (%) <0.05 Coolant No Physical Tests Viscosity (cSt 100C) 12.7 Physical / Chemical Base Number (mgKOH/g) 6.7 The sample was given a "green check mark" indicating things were within acceptable standards. What do y'all think?

I want to list "universal amounts" of these chemicals on a "side-by-side" list. I'll take the universals from one of the Blackstone reports posted here. Also, since the manufacturer's suggested OCI is 7,500 AND the recommended oil is conventional in most cases, I think I'll go to 9,000 or 10,000 miles. BUT since Winter is coming I think I'll stick with 7,500 just to see if my Winter driving (shorter trips etc.) increases the baddies in the oil. What does anyone think about my "plan"?
