Walmart has $3 off on jugs of Mobil1 FS 0w-40 European Car formula. My Nissan Titan 5.6 is due for a change soon. I’ve been running the NAPA (Valvoline) full synthetic 0w-20 pretty much exclusively since new because I bought a few cases and that’s the recommended grade. Now that it’s out of warranty I was wondering if switching to 0w-40 is a good idea, bad idea, or inconsequential? This stuff has a crazy good reputation here, and since this truck gets used almost exclusively for towing a boat I wondered if it might provide some degree of additional protection?
