Never liked Lucas products.

Wow, that's a crazy difference...

But you know what some of the members are going to say... "Yeah but that's Amsoils testing, and we can't be sure it's truthful" BLAH BLAH BLAH.

Is Amsoil implying that any SM oil even conventional is better than Lucas Synthetic High Performance Motor Oil?

True, but there are so many misinformed consumers out there that think RP and Lucas are as good as it gets.

They need to join BITOG then!

(RP is a darn good oil from what I read here though...)

With a NOACK of 11.5%, RP clearly is Grp III based or contains sig. amounts of Grp III. Probably a blend like many synthetics today.

Mobil 1 usually comes in 2nd on all of Amsoil's white papers. What does that tell you? lol

11.5% NOACK is a bit below par for a full synthetic 10W-30, even by primarily Group III 10W-30 standards.

NOACK for PP 10W-30 is 9.7% and Valvoline SynPower 10W-30 is 8%.

It's really hard to beat those two for the money.

It really is. Two very good oils.

If enough samples were found and validated by an independent Lab, YES.

How others stacked up with NOACK...

What's up with GTX? Is it already a GF-5 formulation perhaps?

Maybe you're right.. I was Always told it was 100% PAO.

Looks like RP oils are ExonMobil's Hydrogenated Mineral Oil (EHC-60), PAO, and Ester.

Some grades probably have more PAO than others, similar to M1. It also may vary on the market for base oils.
