So Amsoil uses ExxonMobils PAO and buys an additive package from Lubrizol. What does Mobil use for M1? Is it a proprietary formula? Lubrizol's website is impressive.

Mobil/Exxon have one of the largest staffs of organic chemists in the world and develop most of their own additives.

For example, Mobil developed the first moly additives in 1979 with Lubrizol following in 1981, (information from patent disclosures).
