This is the hinge for a 10' swinging gate.
I see a little nylon plug in the barrel. I am thinking I should be able to pull out the plug and screw in a Zerk fitting. But the hole is too small and does not look threaded.
But I am almost certain that that little nylon plug has something to do with lubricating the hinge.
I just have not figured out what.
I am also thinking the hinge was installed upside down. It looks like the weight of the gate should be resting on a surface that looks like the top of the gate, not the bottom of the hinge. But possible the top is the same as the bottom and with the weight on the bottom it just looks different than the top.
