Luber-Finer?

One of our fleet vans wen't though a drive-in lube joint and was given a Luber-finer filter and whatever bulk barrel oil they used. When I later changed the oil myself it was remarkable how clean the oil was on drain, and the van was 1000 miles overdue. I'm used to seeing the oil come out of there like black pitch with the no-name filters we usually get at lube shops. The filter was freaking heavy when I took it off too and the build quality seemed about par with the Napa Gold I put on. I'm guessing the clean oil effect was largely in part of the Luber-finer filter. Never seen or heard about Luber-finer, are they a good filter?

It's a Champ Labs product just like Walmart's filters and M1 and K&N's oil filters.

No magic there, but good products, sometimes you get better products from them if you pay more money, sometimes you are just a sucker if you pay more money.

i used Luber-Finer filters excussivly when i worked for a Freightliner dealer in Bozeman, MT. I installed nothing but luber-finer on trucks that would run upwards of 10-20000 miles per oil change, over the road trucks. i installed luberfiners on a dodge cummins and on a ford powerstroke no problems, great filters

o i forgot that i have also cut these filters open. gone to classes for them. they really are a well constructed filter. very durable. if i could get some i would buy a case at a time for each of my pickup trucks
