Hello,
Has anybody used or is familiar with this grease?
One of our suppliers carries LPS products, and upon reading specs I decided to give LPS a try as their ThermaPlex grease seems to have good specs it's an NLGI-2, High melting point 536 F (280C)MSDS lists Lithium 12-Hydrostearate, Severly Solvent refined Residium, Lithium Borate Dilithium Adipate and Polyalphaolefin now would that make the grease part-synthetic?
There's no mention of synthetic content on the packaging, and I also wonder if this would be good for automotive application namely as a drive axle grease it does not mention whether this grease is GC-LB rated but its high drop point synthetic(?) content make it look like it might be an ok choice.
Here's the link to Data Sheet: http://www.lpslabs.com/technical_info/tds/T-Hi-Temp.pdf

I want to use it in vacuum (positive displacement) pump it runs intermitently 4-5 min on 4-5 min off manufacturer (Garner Denver) speciffies only EP NLGI-2 grease every 250 hours, wonder if this grease will hold
