Georgia is pretty hot...but as we say, its not the heat, its the humidity.

My Toyota runs 0w-20..I run Valvoline in it...takes a few weeks before I can hardly see it on the stick its so clear.

I just don't KNOW about going with a non-spec grade (the 5W-30). Ironic because my car specs a 5W-30 or a 10W-30 for heavy / hot applications.
I run Mobil1 0W-40!

"Everyone says" the 0W-20's and 5W-20's are a cheap shot by car makers to get a tiny bit of fuel economy.

Georgia is plenty hot, no?

Georgia has a large body of water nearby. So does my area of Lower Michigan. It's called living in the middle of the Great Lakes.

We both have serious issues with humidity.

In Georgia it rains everyday in the summer in 100 F weather and the rain drops evaporate as soon as they hit the pavement. It becomes like a steam bath.

I was working on my car on a summer day in the open. That was a big mistake. Water was coming from my skin incredibly. Forget working outside in the summer.

Nice, fun place though. Just need an A/C.
