Prior to buying my Ranger, I had settled on Havoline HM 5W-30 (Walmart 6qt Box). Now I'll probably just keep the Pro-DS 5W30 in for all the vehicles. I'd rather just keep one on hand that I can use in everything, and the J Series doesn't really seem to care what you put in it for the most part. (Or at least the non-VCM ones). I have a post on here somewhere of all the things I've used on my 2003 Accord (J30A4).
There it is (The forum software upgrade jumbled it all together, but I listed all the oils I've used in the first thread). I drove that car today and noted that the miles are a little over 243,000 and it still goes like it should.

Ok, just kidding, oil does matter, but for a Honda J-Series Engine, it really doesn't matter what you use within reason as long as you change it at 6-7500 miles and take care of the car. I present my 220k under valve cover pics. Looking back at my maintenance log I've used: Mobil1 5W30 10W30...
