got a new KTM superduke with a 990 water cooled v-twin. manual specifies a 10w-50 oil. I used motorex 10w-60 for the first oil change. gearbox/clutch works perfectly.

motorex is priced at $15+ a liter. I want to look for a cheaper alternative.

SDR does not have an oil cooler so I want to go at least 50 weight. I plan to follow the factory change interval at 4600 miles.

There's a castrol 10w60 for BMWs but it's about as pricey and unpossible to find.

Used to be a syntec 5w50 out there, and that was $4-5/qt at walmart.

Elf 10w-60 sport 4 campione 100%PAO Made in France.
Worldimpex.com theoilwarehouse.com has best price($7/qt) around.
AGIP racing 4t 10w60 might be another good option for your
DUKE. Fastbyferraci.com has best price($11.61/qt).

awesome! thanks.

I saw in a Napa store there napa branded oil with a weight of 15w50. I see it was made by Ashland Oil which is Valvolines home company. It is not energy conserving oil at a regular oil price. May have to change it a little sooner though not sure. It will depend on how it feels in that bike. Should be easily available.
