Looking At New UTVs 500cc to 700cc

Wish I had seen this before you purchased. I run ATVs and UTVs for work daily. We’ve run pretty well all major makes and all kinds of models from most. In our experience (with a fleet of approx 150 units) Polaris is the most unreliable machines out there. My personal choice would be a Honda. I’m not a big fan of the kawa Mule. We’ve had good luck with the Can Am Defenders as well. Yamaha seems to be slipping in over all quality in recent years. John Deere Gators have a tendency to combust.

The Polaris checked most of the boxes for me. The Honda Pioneer 520 was too small. The Honda Pioneer 700 was about the right size. I couldn't justify the price.
The Can Am Defender H7 looks to be a pretty good unit. It's a hair larger than the Polaris and more costly. I thought about another Mule. Kawasaki are generally good products. I didn't even consider a JD Gator. There's a premium price for that green paint. Yamaha? I'll never own anything made by Yamaha.
Ease of service is one of the top reasons for choosing Polaris.

Well you certainly need service for that thing in my experience. Hope it works out for you. Honda is priced accordingly for the quality I’ve found. Yamahopper is quickly loosing me. 10 years ago we had tremendous luck with them. Last 5-6 years not so much

Yamaha lost me on their zero turn mower engine debacle.

I have no idea about any of that. On their ATVs and UTVs we are seeing a lot of fuel pump issues, plastics breaking without good cause (corn stalks ripping them apart), bushings on the exhaust hangers don’t last a year and then the exhaust rattles enough to crack and be a real pain. Trans problems in the UTVs. Lots of small glitchy type things. To me it seems they are going downhill in a hurry.
