This day brought us together. We were CA strong. My brother was working underneath a Porsche in downtown Santa Cruz (near the epicenter); he always bragged that if he died that day it would have been under a Porsche! Greg died at 44 of cancer.

I was riding Bart south to Burlingame when it stoped the train and the train continued to rock. We got out and walked a mile to the Station. I got into a 66 VW bug and made my way home. Radio was spotty and once I got off they highway I noticed all the street lights were out. Got home an had no electricity for a few days.

I still remember watching TV with my dad right after it happened.

Its one of those moments in time you don’t forget.
