While reading @GON 's thread on house for sale in WY, I thought about where I used to live in MT and thought I'd peruse the RE there. Came upon a house that looked familiar, but couldn't place it...and then thought "no way!" Clicked on it and looked at the exterior pictures. Yup! That was it! Outside pic #6, by the telephone pole there use to be a little mound that we were jumping off of with bikes. I remember going up to the mound...the next thing I know I'm looking down the road, face on the pavement, 90* off. I see my other friend who'd just taken the jump whip around, other friend jumps off those cement stairs. I went out again and wake up to the bike being pulled off me, one leg THROUGH the handlebars up to my knee. Knocked a couple braces off (Mom was LIVID about this!), road rash on chin and elbow. I don't remember the actual wreck, only the before and after. Don't know what I hit my face on, but it KOed me. Left front tooth is still a little off. Crazy to see this so randomly.

Neat story, glad you recovered. Sorry about your Mom getting upset!

Wow, the house you posted is almost $300 per square foot. A youtuber named Nick Johnson with over 1 million followers produced a video on why Montana has become so very pricey. I won't post a link because his videos sometimes contain a very mild cuss word, which violates BITOG T&C. Nick's videos average 60 minutes, are unique in narration, and has discussions on living primarily out west, and the south.

We used to go to Kalispell quiet often, lived in Libby and if you wanted to do any shopping it was either Spokane or Kalispell.
It was fairly common to just hop in the car and drive 90 miles to go to Kmart or the mall.

$680,000 wow. that would go for about $120,000 or less in my area.
Yeah! Prices have definitely gone WAY up. We lived in a house about .25 mile away. I think Mom bought it in late '84 for $85k. It is now $550k-600k.
@Expendable Never made it to Libby, closest was Thompson Lake area to go fishing with friend and his dad. Going to Missoula was the "big city" trip 😜 . I remember Journey played there and it was the talk of the town. Everybody trying to get a ride with someone to the show! Love taking road trips to Kalispell. Will do it again sometime.

Exhaustive research reveals that comparable houses in the area typically sell for $495K. This house is more expensive due to its historical value; not evident in the photos is the bronze plaque detailing @Toy4x4's youthful stunts.

We were tougher back then...
