Just a quick note of thanks to all those on this sub-forum that sing the praises of the Lisle funnel. I finally got one based on many positive comments I have read here and used it for my coolant change a few days ago. The tool works as flawlessly as everyone has stated for the burping process without spilling nary a drop or having to monitor as closely! Much better approach than my large funnel surrounded by scrap rags and paper towels for sure around the neck! It makes you almost look forward to changing the coolant again - OK, well maybe that's a bit excessive! One thing I learned that is probably obvious to those that have used it, is to not fill up the reservoir until you are done with the funnel but rather use the excess in the funnel to then place into the reservoir. However... I put the remainder from the funnel in a container and ended up having to replenish the reservoir after the heat cycle completed so it still worked out - I just had to store it.

My funnel collection has grown so large that I keep the bulk of it in a clear leaf bag. Others in strategic locations

That's a bummer Chris142. All the parts store so nicely inside too! You know, the fellow that answered my pre-sales questions was so nice I bet if you wrote to them, they would send you one for Christmas!

This is the funnel you will see techs in dealerships and garages using. USA made too with great customer support.

Thanks !! I may order one (for the wife, naturally ).

RubberChicken... that reminds me of the line from one of my favorite movies, and quite apropos for this month - Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase. Remember when Clark got the Jelly of the Month Club from his company instead of the big bonus he was expecting to pay for the pool he ordered? Cousin Eddie in a honest attempt to make him feel better says "That's the gift that keeps giving the whole year!" So buy that funnel, wrap it up for the wife, and use that line when you explain this means unlimited coolant changes for her car!

It's in the same category with that special oil change funnel for Toyota's. Using one makes you giggle at how pleasant changing coolant and/or oil can be.

Mine didn't have one either. It must have been a fairly recent tweak.

I bought one in October and was amazed at how well it works. My Corvette is the most difficult vehicle I have ever owned as far as getting the air out of the
system. I bought the Lisle funnel and the problem was solved. It works so well it makes changing anti freeze almost fun. I did a drain and fill on 3 out of 4 of my vehicles in October.

+1

Bought mines years ago, tho from Advance Auto with rewards bucks and 25% off coupon. It only gets used a handful of times throughout the year, but makes it worth it each time it is used.

ETCG made me buy it. Always saw him using it in his old videos.

Really? Customer support for a funnel?

It's not funneling correctly. Can I have another? lol

I just used this funnel doing a coolant swap on my 2001 Jeep with the 4.0 (after a water pump and rad failure).

One thing I found, which may not be the case for all cars... is that I needed to rev the motor a bit. after the thermostat had opened and I didn't see many more bubbles. I thought to try it when I wasn't getting ANY heat from the vets. I reved the engine a bit, and even held it at 2k RPM for a bit. As soon as I first reved it a bunch more bubbles came out. And to my delight, heat!

Yep. Really. Had some questions about fitting my radiator and sequence of removing the funnel/squeezing radiator hose as I saw it used different ways on YouTube and project engineer from Lisle wrote back almost immediately. Also told me they are made in USA with lifetime warranty and the new ones are clear and not yellow anymore. I don't mind shelling out money bucks for tools when it's backed by companies like that.
