Seems a lot of these engine oil or oil additive companies are getting into gun oils, I personally use Lucas but been thinking on checking out Prolube gun oil

That's what I picked up...Lucas CLP spray can and a dropper bottle of their oil. I know the name and figured how back can it be? I'm new to the gun thing and the name was familar.

Their gun oil seems to be working great so far. Hoppes is usually regarded as the best though.

I've seen/heard of the Hoppes, I just can't see where this makes a whole lot of difference with a Glock. Could probably use my Tri-Flo that I use for my bikes, plus that sweet sweet bananna smell 🤣

Sure, I'll bet the margin is much better per quart.

This stuff is nearly $100 bucks per quart.

If used as intended, that quart would last a lifetime.

@TiGeo ...we need a test video.

Realistically probably any gun oil on the market will do the job perfectly fine, people pick brands for different reasons, some just want consistency, some just like the brand or want to support the brand, or it is what was on the shelf.

Lucas was on the shelf at O'reilly's that's where I got it.

Spoke to a few gun guys this week as I just acquired a new gun. The range of opinions was vast but most said they didn't have a preference and the key was - to actually maintain, clean, and oil your gun! Gee, imagine that. I bought some Lucas btw.... I'm sure motor oil works also.

Me over here using Rem Oil and Hoppes for almost 40 years and I've yet to 'tear up' a gun ;)
Ditto, these two have been my go to for decades. The remoil wipes work great when out in the elements (snow/moisture). A quick wipe before and after and no rust. I recently bought some breakfree CLP and it seems to be doing well.

I have all three flavors of Wilson gun lube.

In all honesty, I am not seeing a big performance difference between various brands, so, it comes down to personal preference. Gun oil, for me, is sort of binary - it works, or it doesn’t. I can’t really tell if one is slightly better than the other from a few hundred rounds in which the gun works as it should.

I’ve recently used AMSOIL, Wilson, Hoppe’s, G96, and, of course, HPL, all with good results.
