Why not run Amsoil ss. If you like USA products.
Liqui Moly Molygen 0w-20 or Castrol GTX Full Synthetic 0w-20 Cost doesn't matter

Though Amsoil, Red Line and a couple I am probably missing are the best of the best, but I am too tight to give the money for those high-end products. Besides that, I have never liked Amsoil's pyramid marketing approach, theirs or anybody else's as far as that goes. It is doubtful that will ever change, they have done it that way since their inception. Later, Joel

Honest question, but why care about marketing approach if it’s about the product you purchase? Users aren’t required to sell it themselves. Besides, we have @Pablo who has been here for literally decades. Personally, having a go to product expert isn’t a bad thing at all.
Amsoil products are top of the market and could yield good ROI if a vehicle is a good extended OCI candidate. If it’s about best oil to use without concern for cost, it’s on a short list.
Obvious, 90% short tripper in question may not make as much sense, but once I signed up originally with my Amsoil account, the thought of it being MLM style hasn’t really occurred as I have no interaction with the person that signed me up.
I know why people use the unflattering word pyramid but Amsoil is not a pyramid nor an illegal pyramid scheme. Pyramid implies dot at top and ever expanding base. That is not true. 3 levels and done. There are a lot of dealers true but I have no connection with 99.99+% of these

Nothing against Pablo here. And Amsoil makes great oil. The way my maintenance schedule is going to be and with the short trips it would be dumb to spend that kind of money on engine oil, even if pyramid schemes do or don't irritate me. They do run a really nice website; I just bought a new oil sampling pump from them. If you’re considering Molygen, Amsoil may even be cheaper as a preferred customer.

I have checked it out, Molygen is much cheaper than Amsoil, even at the preferred customer price. At least $4.00 a quart difference. Besides that, they don't plan to change the way they market their Amsoil, and I won't buy much from until they do. The little bit I would buy, they are not out much anyhow.
What difference does it make the way someone legally sells a product?
That said you are free to buy whatever you wish, but "pyramid scheme" is slander.

Edge is a strong contender at $24 for a 5 Qt jug sold at Walmart. Not that GTX synthetic is a slouch for oil I’d go for the edge personally. Walmart has edge ep on rollback $26
The Amsoil is a superior oil vs. Molygen hence the price difference.

Yes, how their marketing is set up is different than others, back when Amsoil started it was obviously legal then too. People referred to as a pyramid scheme, which is how I came up with the wording. It obviously is not illegal, and true pyramid scheme marketing is illegal in the USA. So, let's put it a different way, because I don't want to "slander" you, or anyone. As soon as Amsoil sells their products the same way Mobil or Valvoline or Liqui Moly, I personally would like it more. I don't need It right now. It would be foolish for me to use it with my self-imposed service intervals; it would be a waste of a really good oil. As I said earlier, I have no problem with you or Amsoil, which may be the highest quality oil available. I am just pointing out I am not a fan of the way Amsoil is marketed, which is different than most others. That's ok, it is a free country. Besides that, I recently ordered off the Amsoil site and bought an oil sampling pump. So actually, I am set up with them. So, it must not bother me that much. Amsoil does use a really good oil analysis lab, being Polaris Labs out of Indianapolis. If I didn't already have my own account set up with Polaris, I would be buying kits from Amsoil. I won't refer to Amsoil as a pyramid scheme anymore, because if they really were, they wouldn't be in business. I will just refer to it as a little different than Mobil, Castrol, or Red Line.
