Limp Mode

I have a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan SE 3.3 v6 Flex Fuel with 60k. Driving down the road yesterday it threw itself into 1st gear twice. The sport shift no longer works. I drove it again today and it went into 3rd and 2nd gear while driving. Most research indicates Limp Mode and fixes such as input/output sensors, blown fuse, TCM, solenoid pack. When driving the transmission shifts fine and only does this after it warms up. Any suggestions?

Get it looked at before it destroys itself. I'd take it to the dealer, I am sure it has a code stored.

Check for codes and check fluid level. If both are good, then to the dealer/trans shop STAT.

Do a "key dance" and it will dump your codes to the odometer:
Get in the car, close the door. Perform the following steps fairly quickly (less than 3 seconds) :

Turn key to ON
then back to ACC
then to ON
then back to ACC
then to ON

Write down codes listed on the odometer and look them up. If it shows ------ then there are no codes stored.

Thanks for the info! Greatly appreciated It's showing P 0957 Auto Shift Manual Mode Circ Low. The manual sport shift stopped working on it yesterday when this happened as well.

Called and spoke with local Dodge dealership and they are stating that's for a shifter assembly that needs to be replaced.
