Found another one that was intentionally almost forgotten about.
I've got a Cummins 6.7L common rail, 3 years old, in-service for 2 years, oil is saftykleen put in there 2 years ago, 15w-40 (the best stuff on earth), oil filter is a rusty top, 80% painted over fleetguard LF16006. Application is standby power generator.
I saw it and figure surely I can't be looking at an original factory oil filter. Oil filter was on there stupid tight. Turned it 180 degrees and saw it, the filter has factory under spray on it allows the label to be seen. The rust on the top kinda gave it away too.
I pulled the records. No service whatsoever besides topping it off with oil, coolant.
Ima cut it open next chance I get. Still playing 4th of July catch-up.
I'm not expecting to find much in there.
The oil is bitog black and smells terrible. Makes my mouth water.
