Lexus ES300 Smoking. What oil?

MOS2 is known for plating the friction/contact surfaces.
Not really the same but my mower had been smoking at start up for a couple if seasons and I knew it was the rings.
I added 1/3 can to my oil change and no more smoke. It's last me 3 seasons since so I can't complain.
8 bucks has helped me get 3 seasons so far since adding it. I was going to buy a new/used mower but now that it's not burning oil anymore I don't need to.
I change the oil yearly. Gets maybe 50 hours a year.

Do a compression test. Low compression usually means failing piston rings, normal compression means it is leaking somewhere else. The valve seals and possibly guides are worn, and the right thing to do is rebuild the cylinder heads.
