I can tell you this...it's NOT where he REALLY is unless, being a logician as his "bio" says he is, he is playing a logic game with us. The coordinates put him somewhere around the Nepal/China/India borders.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking; my geography skills are a bit rusty, but I coulda sworn that all of North America was within negative (west) longitude!

YZF150, bring us back some exotic motor oil from wherever you may be

I had his first location in Africa too...thought it might have been legit until he started talking about Autozone...figured there weren't any Autozones

in the African desert!

Found some of the German Castrol Syntec at an Auto Zone in Pinellas Park (St. Petersburg), FL

Lot number: MO23386BTAG785 - 2010

Bought all six bottles they had. Did a fill on my son-in-law's new (to him) '02 Taurus (3.0L Vulcan), Motorcraft FL400S filter, sent him on his way to graduate school in Indiana. Maybe we'll get a UOA out of it when he comes back around Christmas.

Mike242GT,

That is the latest fill time I have seen for the TAG785 batch. Maybe by the time we hit 2359, the next batch # (besides the ones we have already seen) will be appearing.

Sorry if this is old news for the Canadian contingent

but...
Last night I saw a whole rack of german Castrol Syntec 0W 30 at my local Canadian Tire (Hwy 401 & Port Union) in the east end of Toronto. I had previously only found it at WalMart. Price was $6.99 cdn (vs. $6.66 at Wally's).

I should also report that after 2 weeks in my 1.8T, this oil has not caused my engine to blow up
smile.gif
, nor has it resulted in scores of beautiful women asking to look under my hood
frown.gif
. Hmm, I guess there's a limit to its abilities after all...

A new pickup line at a singles bar: "Hey baby, my oil smells like gummie bears. Wanna sniff?"

I'll bet you're forgetting to put a dab of 0W30 behind each ear and on each wrist before you go out, aren't you?

I bought some german castrol last week, and I could not overcome the compulsion to open up a quart and take a sniff. To me......it does not smell anywhere close to gummibears. In fact, I think it smells alot like Jim Beam.

I wonder if it just always smells like a treat?........LOL

I also opened one of my bottles and took a whiff last week and didn't find that it smelled like gummibears either.

sbc.../Patman,

You guys have got to open your minds and allow the vapors to gently waft into that area of olfactory sensitivity that responds to the fragrance of gummi bears...and then you'll smell it
spaz.gif
...you don't think so, huh? Well, it was worth a try.
