Agree, the OE filter even says Mann Filter HU6013. Same filter on any EA888 3G and even Mk8 GTI.

I purchased another one OE VW/Audi 06L 115 562 B and a pair of Mann HU6013z, just for the sake of a more recent comparison and/or if there is a change on them.
The outcome: Both are the same except for the printing. Apparanetly same media, probably synthetic, same number of plies, same say Germany. Difference in price? Astonishingly negligible.

It's pretty well known that Mann just stamps the auto manufacturer logo in addition to their internal markings on their filters and package them in the auto manufacturer packaging so that the auto manufacturer mark up the price for consumers.
