Kodiak 450

2005 yamaha kodiak starts great every time ..but ..when it has warmed up i close the choke and it does not want to idle and dies out ..if i leave the choke on just a little bit it idles ok ..i can raise the rpm with the throttle screw or lower it .something is just not right ..ps new sparkplug - fresh gas-air filter is clean and oiled ...need help ..

THIS ^^^^^^^ clean carb, if that does not fix it replace the needles/jets..

X2. try draining the carb first (drain at bottom of carb), there might be a little water in there.

I've had machines do this when the valves needed adjustment; you might check them, especially if they haven't been checked in a while.
