Dexos 1.2 is an Ok standard meant for 5000-7500 mile oil.
Just one more oil standard that supports old school mentality
OEM's poor engine designs are the reason long range oil is not becoming the norm … we should all be able to buy vehicles that can go 10k-15k or more with better oils already being made.
Instead we have engines that destroy amazing lubricants.

Yes and 500K miles should be the norm as well. But they aren't letting us get away from programed obsolescence.

Quality oil that will do perfectly well following any manufacture's drain interval that recommends an API 5W-30 SN. About the same price as Amazon's Basic and Supertech per quart. All quality Warren products.
