Seen that before, here I think...

I hadn't seen it. Pretty ridiculous but it stood up well. I thought the fire would melt the cab wiring and kill it.

I love Top Gear, I don't miss an episode! If you have never watched it, they usually have a ridiculous challenge in each episode. building amphibious cars, car into space shuttle, ordinary car into limo...

No,I think most of them were exported to New Zealand....heaps of them here.2L diesel - so long as there is power to the shut off solenoid, and it cranks, then it will run.But they have a cambelt, and the later model 2L uses bucket tappets - total destruction when the belt breaks.Over heat them and the head cracks - guaranteed.Toyota diesel heads fail so often people are selling new ones made in 3rd world countries from the boot of their cars - ''Already been crack tested mate!'' Yeah right....why would a new head need crack testing?

Toyota's are tough....but not as good as the reputation would have it.

Top Gear is fantastic! A co worker gave me a bunch of DVDs with every episode from season one through season nine and I've watched about half of the shows so far and have been laughing like crazy! I wish they showed this show here! And I sure hope they don't try to make a US version, it would not be the same.

Top Gear used to be on Discovery Channel but that was 4-5 years ago.

Was on the Science Channel (part of Discovery Channel's network) but no longer. Now you can see TG on BBC America on Monday nights at 8PM EST. The shows are 6-12 months old compared to what's broadcasted on BBC2 in the UK.

Obviously, if you can get BBC2 via satellite you have the inside track.

You can download episodes of both TG and Fifth Gear from a torrent site called Finalgear.com. The shows are usually available within hours of UK airing.

They actually like quite a few of our cars alot, Mustangs and Vettes in particular. They also dislike many many european cars, especially british cars.

I thought the episode with them driving through the south was hilarious.
