KFC to use no-transfat oil in chicken

This is sort of good news, I suppose. In light of the recent BITOG discussion about government mandates banning transfats in restaurants, this should satisfy the market-driven/voluntary folks. As one of the unlucky types that has to be on a semi-permanent SoBe Diet Phase 1, I might actually get to eat at KFC or Wendy's...once in a bluemoon. Of course, the biscuits are off-limits forever.

And hopefully they will remove the nutritional info from the wall in front of the bathrooms as they will not be too ashamed of teir ingredients.

Historically, I have found Popeye's chicken to be much less greasy and more tasty than KFC, although lately even Popeye's quality has been declining, at least in my area.

The only concern I have is will non-transfat makes the chicken drips oil all over the place, rather than solidify and keep the chicken "dry" in transit.

If they get that part taken care of, there is no reason to use transfat.

Panda Bear, your comment cracked me up
