Not much info here
They are clean with no dust and very minimum oil residue.

Something about that kind of baseplate bothers me. It might be the orange can vibe....
I don't like the RP baseplates either.
The KN 1002 I do like...

The final result.. .spotless inside, no glue to be found and that ends the positives. I don't remember the 7317 size being this little..
The filter is junk..... the bypass valve is off center and wobbles all over and is worthless. Very cheap feeling. The flashlight shows the other flaws. The can is only 16 thousands thick away from the sticker. Lawn mower grade only... Even the adbv has been thinned down...hard fail....

I have all of that and liked my prior K&N filters and have RPs and OG Ultras left in 7317 size. Baldwin, PGs etc but you have to get around and see. Even the oem mitsubishi filters are great.

Sadly Donaldson may do the same thing one day. I hope not.. I now like cartridge filters like on my VW. What you see is what you get. It's a sad world.
