I have seen the cut open videos online, they look solid however they don't publish any flow data or lifespan anywhere. Are they FU or M1 quality or lower?

They are lower quality. On par with the cheap economy filters and the economy jobber filters at best.

They do look cool with the red media, though

It's very hard to get flow vs delta-p data on oil filters.

This it what I thought, looks good like their air filters, but filter poorly.

This is impossible without part numbers.

*Generally speaking* , in the past - - - the K&N filters have just been a Mobil 1 filter, with that nut spot welded on the bottom.

The K&N white are M-1 and Fram Ultra quality. My black k&n looks solid and even has silicone ADBV. It looks equal to a Fram Tough Guard or Wix.

Rockauto gets various part numbers in - but the supply is VERY ERRATIC - they obviously don't have a dedicated source
