Lets say I send a DM-PM to say Automechanic and in the body of the dm text i put another members name in the message like @ZeeOSix. Or @OVERKILL. Or any members name would they be alerted via notification using @ of course.

No need to but I just thought about it now. Would they be prompted to join in the DM???

Yes that is why I thought of it.
I could be badmouthing everybody and suck you into it and one day you would accidentally scroll 3 feet to the bottom and see in the corner

Look at it as a privacy check..
It wasn't an issue but nice to know the software people had privacy in mind

Did it actually (hyper)link the member's name when you added it to the text ? I suspect it will as that's just a core function of the forum software.
